Starry Night


Met up with Mimi and Lainey for an advanced birthday dinner celebration on Friday night. We wanted to spend the night chilling and chatting away at Timbre but it was fully booked for an event till 8.30pm!
We were starving so we didn't stay to wait and walked aimlessly till we came across
this restaurant - Curry Favor











I ordered the first dish that attracted my eye, and it was also a popular dish at Curry Favor!




Cheese Katsu Curry. The cheese will ooze out once you take a bite from it. Soooo good!!

G is currently taking orders for Christmas Delicacies from GoodWood Park Hotel!
This is a canvassing project to raise funds for Dinner and Dance 2010 for my Hall . Do help me out here, as our hall's aim is to gain $5000 worth of orders! Although I'm not the only one taking in orders, each of the comm members would need to at least sell 3-4 cakes to hit our target. I know the price would seem a little pricey, but the durian cakes from GoodWood Park has been much raved about for the longest time! It'll be nice to get it for the festive season ((:

This would not be a long post as I'm currently at work and I'm pretty busy :C (But being busy is a good and bad thing) As a matter of fact, I'm actually more upset than busy. (Elaborate more at the end of post)



Friday, J and I went home for a quick change of clothes and met up for dinner at Marche. Queue was long but we were served quick! Best to make reservations if you're going in large groups during busy hours because the place is packed with people! But for us, we were seated in a short while :)

Okay, back to why I'm upset:

Yesterday, I had to make 135 calls out to business partners (I'm talking about business partners like CEOs, directors and managers) to invite them to an event that's coming up on Thursday (tomorrow). YES 135 CALLS. This spells S-T-R-E-S-S. I had to make these calls because the response for this event is very low, and I had to extend the invitation by calling them. Some positive replies and some not so positive replies. During one of the calls, I came to know that another company is holding an event on Thursday and they will be attending it, therefore they won't be able to make it to ours.

And so, I informed my colleague regarding this issue and they decided to postponed the event date to next week, 19th Nov instead. It's a day after my birthday and I thought I could take mc to rest at home but with this postponed event, I CAN'T!!

That's not it, I have to make 150+ calls to these business partners AGAIN to update them about the change in date and hope that they would be able to attend. D-O-U-B-L-Y S-T-R-E-S-S-E-D. (By the way, I took 4 hours to call 100 odd people). I want to burst in tears.

Pedicure Manicure Kitty Kat Klaws


It was my dad's 52nd birthday on Monday, 2nd Nov. The family made a decision to head out to JB a day earlier in celebration of his birthday. We couldn't think of where to go in Sg so we thought, Why not JB? :D





Failed to capture everyone into the photo! Countless of tries but still failed. This is the best, at least it captured Shannen's and my face!




It was dad's birthday but mum gave everyone a treat! I didn't fork out a single cent to anything so I definitely felt very pampered :)

We bought tickets to MJ's This Is It. RM10 on a weekend! In Sg, tickets are at SGD10 on a weekend. So expensive. Dad truly enjoyed the movie, he couldn't stop singing the songs after it. Anyway, the movie is REALLY GOOD. I give it TWO THUMBS UP :D


Oh, we were given barbie-doll packaged sweets upon buying tickets! Haha




Mum, Shannen and I got a pedicure done! Mum did classic french pedicure while Shannen and I did a classic pedicure + nail art. It was all very cheap!

Probably the nicest Bakerzin I've been to is in City Hall. I like places with dim lightings, it really sets the mood :)




We wanted to have the blueberry cheesecake but it was all sold out. Settled with a strawberry shortcake instead.

Halloween 2009

My halloween was no ordinary halloween. I spent it with my sister, her friend, Celia and my cousins in the neighbourhood! Mum and aunts had bought tickets to the haunted house organised by the RC members and they wanted us (Shannen and I) to accompany the younger ones into the haunted house.

It was fun nevertheless :)

The Last Teen Year

After a very filling buffet lunch on Wednesday, I met my Ngee Ann friends for a buffet dinner @ Intercontinental Hotel in celebration of Rainee and Chia's birthdays! Buffet lunch + buffet dinner = VERY ROUND TUMMY. Who said buffet = 不肥!!











Snapped a picture with Jolene and Rainee (birthday girl!!) while waiting for the late comers. My face is the roundest because I'm the fattest. So demoralising looking at this photo :C

We managed to keep a secret from Rainee all these while to surprise her with her best gift! Her boyfriend!! :)

Tong suggested that the birthday boy and girl feed each other with what they want. They ended up mixing whatever food they have available on their plate and gave it to each other. Chia was ever ready for the mess, which explains the bib he made for himself HAHA

Then, there was a twist to it. They had to eat the mashed/mixed/squashed food they made that was supposedly for each other. Hahaha Rainee's face is classic!




What an enjoyable and funny dinner night with them. We took a group shot but it's in Rainee's camera! Will upload it once she sends me :)


And I was so fortunate to have Jolene drive me home. Thanks once again :) It beats squeezing with everyone else on public transport.

Event @ Pan Pacific Hotel

From Monday to Wednesday, I spent my working hours at Pan Pacific Hotel with Weenee and colleague, Christine. We were in charge of the registration booth once again.

However this time, the company had arranged a 2 day course for their business partners. Upon completion of the course, they will sit through a short test. I remember printing the test papers out and the questions looked so tough!!

There were 2 types of courses: Sales (held from Monday to Tuesday) and Technical (held from Tuesday to Wednesday).


The function room used: Ocean 3!

Lunch @ Global Kitchen. Had buffet lunch for 3 consecutive days! Very satisfying. I swear the food is very good! But after 3 days, my appetite has grown bigger :C My tummy has grown to the size of a basketball :C

My most favourite dessert: the strawberry jelly on the left and hazelnut chocolate mini in the center. MAJOR LOVE IT!!!!




I got to admit that the job position I'm in is wayyyyy much better than some or maybe all of my classmates, because we don't stick to the office all the time, we go out for events and even the food and drinks are sponsored by the company! All we do is sit at the registation booth and wait for the business partners to approach us. By the way, there are coffee and tea breaks in the morning and afternoon. The hotel staff brings the food out at specific timings. So, we're practically eating and drinking all the time. Shioookkk

Friday Night

Last Friday was meant to be a farewell dinner night with my colleagues. We're all interns from different schools and sad to say, Samuel and Lebin's 10 week internship is about end. (Ends tomorrow in fact!)

Although I only knew them for a good 7 weeks, it's been a fun journey and an unforgettable one... Meeting in the pantry at 3pm, heading down to Spinelli during tea break, gossiping about Alice (Not real name. The whole office talks abt her because she dresses like a slut, I'm serious).


Let me side track a little: I cannot stand it when people under dress to work. When I mean by under dress, I mean NO short dresses/skirts and NO low plunging neckline tops. It's a total turn off in the office. If you're going out after work and you want to wear something sexy or casual, change out of your office wear after office hours! No one is stopping you. I strongly feel that office is office, party is party. Please dress appropriately. If you think you won't get caught, think again. Because everyone is watching you and your dressing definitely calls for attention. By the way, my colleague catches people who under dresses! Don't let her catch you!!


Back to my post,

We all went home immediately after work to change out of our formal wear and into casual tees and shorts! We were going Serangoon Gardens for dinner and as Lebin had to work OT, we had ample time to go home and change out.

Half an hour before meeting them, Samuel sms-ed and told me he couldn't make it as he was in a meeting. Not an office meeting but a meeting outside. He's a busy man, VERY VERY busy. A pity he wasn't here with us. A month ago he told me he couldn't wait for this night!


Poor Lebin had to work OT which explains him in long pants but thankfully he changed into a polo tee for a more comfort fit.




I tried my best to capture a good photo shot of the boys but Lebin refused to smile at the camera and was always trying to avoid it.




Went Ice Cube for ice cream and spent the night chatting about almost everything under the moon. Bought food from Chomp Chomp back home for my parents at 1am++ and shared a cab home. Couldn't stay any longer because Jonathan and Weenee had further plans in the night with their friends.
